The Easter Extravaganza – 3 promoters, 1 event & 1 vision – The Ultimate Easter Weekender
Friday, January 8th, 2010

Back in 2000, we brought over our mentor and teacher, Mr Eddie Torres – The Mambo King himself, to the UK for acountrywide masterclass tour that would truly transform the UK scene from that point on. As part of the tour we factored in 14 dates at venues across the UK and, in London, we teamed up with Robert & Jean White of the newly formed Mambocity to lay on an event at Bootsy Brogans in Wembley.

Since then our companies have worked together on a number of events including the Salsa Showdown event in 2001 (where Descarga Latina, Santo Rico & Alma Y Sabor debuted what went on to become the globally famous LATIN MADNESS show). So, it was only fitting that we get together in our anniversary year, and rope in another colleague we have known for well over 10 years – Tony Lara of iLoveBachata, when we were thinking of organising something truly special. The result is THE LONDON LATIN EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA which will take place (guess when..) across the Easter weekend.

This 3 day event is made up of over 60 workshops and masterclasses as well as 3 massive parties plus close to 20 shows. It also features some great international guest stars in the form of Darlin Garcia & Loreta Juzenaite, Tony & Daniella, Jil & Anke and Korke Bachata and, with FULL PASS prices starting at just £70, it is one of the best value weekender packages around.

It all kicks off at Ealing Town Hall with The Long Good Friday event hosted by Mambocity on Good Friday 2 April. Then, on Easter Saturday 3 April, things move over to Kings Cross where new London venue Pappeos will be the site for Latin Lovers Fusion which brings Kizomba into the mix and then, on Easter Sunday 4 April, we move to SCALA for the climactic event The scalalatina 10th Anniversary Alldayer.
Full details of each of the events can be found on the individual promoters websites (click here for details), with a single website hosting the FULL PASS ticket sales.
